How To: Eat Healthy On A Budget
  • Plan your meals and write a shopping list - as the saying goes fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Plan your meals in advance and write a list of everything you need before you shop. This can work well when online shopping as you're less likely to buy things on a whim because you see they're on offer on the shelves
  • Try #MeatlessMondays - meat tends to be the most expensive element of a meal. Try going veggie once a week, check out these protein packed vegetarian recipes
  • Use leftovers - make extra for your evening meals and use your leftovers for lunches
  • Be less wasteful - try not to throw away food, leftover veg at the bottom of the fridge can make great soups and casseroles
  • Get cheap with your cuts - cheaper cuts of meat doesn't mean compromising on flavour! They just need a little more love, so dust off the slow cooker and cook them low and slow for a tasty dinner.

I'm at the forefront of finding out and creating awesome stuff about health, fitness and happiness and when I'm not at work I love nothing more than pizza and prosecco in the sun with friends. What motivates me? Knowing that life is short...
