Have you ever tried horseback yoga? Yes it’s a real thing, and just one of many new things Donna has tried! This week we're chatting to her about the amazing and wonderful things she gets up to with her Variety Membership and how it keeps her motivated and loving her active lifestyle.
Q. What do you do for your profession?

Q. What was your average week like before you found Move?
I was saving up to go to maybe one activity per week. I was a lot less bendy and chilled out. Long hours of computer work were wrecking my upper back. Now I can go to yoga and stretch classes much more frequently it has massively helped my shoulders. It's also more social. I see more people than I did in an average week before joining.
It's great seeing training friends at different spaces and classes. I'm also able to try dance classes which I wouldn't have done before, as I would only have been able to afford one activity per week. the tutors of the classes have all been amazing too. it's just had a really positive effect, and I've learned so much from the different activities too.
Q. How has it changed your lifestyle?

I'm less stressed, better able to sort out the problems that come from too much sitting and computer work, and I'm spending less time sedentary and more time with other people. I've always been very active, but this has really helped me experience a wider range of activities that I would have never done before because of the cost.
Q. What difference are you seeing in your energy and motivation to workout?
The variety of classes I do now really helps keep me motivated, and also knowing that I'll see familiar faces. I also love learning about the different shapes and skills you can train into your body.
Q. Were you nervous going to different studios and trying different exercises?
A bit when going to dance classes, as I'm not hugely graceful! but I've always been made to feel welcome and had a good laugh.
Q. How do you feel each time you try a new session/venue?
Curious! Each tutor has something new and different to offer, and each venue has different facilities for working you out in different ways.
Q. Do you use Move on your phone on the go?
Yes, being able to book on quickly is really useful. If the service was too clunky it would be off-putting.
Q. What is your favourite thing about MoveGB?
Affordability, quality and variety, feeling worked out and challenged. I've been to trampolining, Jamaican dance hall, ballet, yoga, martial arts and HIIT classes. Also, the customer service has been excellent, really helpful, speedy responses from friendly staff.
Q. If there is one thing that you'd like to say to potential new Movers what would it be?
Get on with it! Try the horseback yoga...they have a real horse!
