Is There A Difference Between Winning And Success?

Posted by Laura

Right from when we are first at school to when we are chasing job promotions, as humans we are conditioned to believe the importance in success and winning.

However have you ever succeeded in your goal, or "won" so to speak, only to find yourself strangely deflated?

This super inspiring TED Talk from John Wooden suggests that actually success is more about the journey than the outcome and that the effort you put in to achieve your goals is more rewarding both psychologically and physically.

If you only take a few things away from this video then make sure it's just a few of John's many wise words of wisdom:

1. Be the best version of YOU - stop comparing yourself to someone else and feel proud in your own achievements 2. Successful players are not always the stars, but rather those who develop their skills to their maximum capacity 3. “Success: peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you’re capable.”

Count this as 15 minutes of your ME time today and watch this awesome video now or as soon as you have time to put your feet up!
